Enugu Rangers exited the CAF Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate defeat, despite winning the first leg of their second-round qualifier 1-0 in Uyo last weekend.
In Sunday’s match in Luanda, Rangers found themselves trailing 2-0 at halftime. However, Anayo Ogbonna scored just before the break, leveling the aggregate score at 2-2 and putting Rangers in a favorable position on the away goals rule. Unfortunately, a second-half goal from Jaime Pimpao for Sagrada ensured the Angolan side advanced to the group stage, leaving Nigeria without any representatives in this lucrative phase of the competition, following the earlier exit of Remo Stars.
