One of the standout moments of CANEX WKND will be the CANEX Concert on October 17, exclusively for registered delegates. The concert will feature an incredible lineup, including the South African amaPiano legends, Scorpion Kings, comprised of Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa. These trailblazing DJ producers have been instrumental in shaping the amaPiano genre, both as solo artists and as a formidable duo.
Adding to the excitement will be Kenya’s rising star, Sofiya Nzau. Her enchanting melodies celebrate the diversity of African traditions, bringing a message of unity and love to the global stage.
Also gracing the stage will be the iconic Tinariwen, known for their unique blend of Tuareg music and desert blues. After a long hiatus, this legendary collective from the Sahara region will make a thrilling return to the Algerian stage, captivating audiences with their guitar-driven sound that fuses traditional Tuareg influences with Western rock.
Rounding out this stellar lineup is Ayra Starr, the Benin-born Nigerian superstar. Renowned for her distinctive voice in the Afrobeats scene, Ayra gained widespread acclaim with her 2021 hit “Away” and became the youngest African female artist to surpass 100 million views on a single YouTube video in just five months.
