This Code of Conduct establishes the foundational principles that guide the Ikwuano Ambassadors community. These rules exist to protect our unity, ensure fairness, and maintain accountability across our Association. By upholding these standards, every member contributes to preserving our collective integrity, respecting our diversity, and advancing our shared vision.
Adherence to this Code safeguards the reputation of Ikwuano Ambassadors and Abia Affinity, builds trust among members, and creates a strong foundation for sustainable membership growth and self development group support.

*ARTICLE 1 : RESPECT AND DIGNITY*
*1.1 Mutual Respect*
All members shall engage with one another with respect, courtesy, and dignity, regardless of differences in opinion, background, or status. Respect encompasses admiration for the good qualities in others and recognition of their inherent worth.
*1.2 Leadership Protocol*
Members shall treat leadership with cordial relations, acknowledging both positional authority and natural seniority. Leaders are selected to coordinate and build the organization for stability, and their decisions, once finalized, must be respected and followed.
*1.3 Conduct Standards*
Members shall refrain from provocative behavior, insults, or actions that lead to altercations. Peaceful and respectful engagement must be maintained in all settings, whether virtual or physical meetings.

## ARTICLE 2: CONFIDENTIALITY AND TRUST
*2.1 Information Protection*
Members must uphold strict confidentiality regarding internal discussions, decisions, and sensitive information shared within Ikwuano Ambassadors meetings and communications.
*2.2 Permission to Share*
Information may only be shared outside the Association when explicit permission has been granted by the leadership or the concerned parties.

Members shall practice active listening by giving undivided attention to speakers without interruption, allowing each person to express their thoughts without fear of judgment.

All members are encouraged to actively participate in discussions, activities, and initiatives, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued within the community.
*3.3 Constructive Feedback*
When providing feedback, members shall focus on addressing issues constructively rather than criticizing individuals. Suggestions should aim at improvement and collective progress.

*4.1 Meeting Attendance*
Members are expected to regularly attend meetings and actively engage in group activities, demonstrating dedication to the goals and objectives of Ikwuano Ambassadors.
*4.2 Personal Accountability*
Members shall hold themselves and one another accountable for fulfilling commitments and adhering to approved instructions as established by leadership.
*4.3 Time Management*
All members shall respect each other's time by ensuring meetings start and end promptly, facilitating productive discussions and timely conclusions.

*ARTICLE 5: COLLABORATION AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT*
*5.1 Openness to Ideas*
Members shall embrace new ideas, perspectives, and suggestions, fostering an environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and innovative solutions.
*5.2 Empathy and Support*
Members shall demonstrate empathy toward fellow members facing challenges or temporary difficulties. The community commits to collectively supporting registered members in need without hesitation.
*5.3 Celebration of Success*
The Association shall recognize and celebrate individual and collective achievements, milestones, and contributions, expressing appreciation for each member's role in our shared success.

*ARTICLE 6: CONFLICT RESOLUTION*
*6.1 Constructive Approach*
Conflicts and disagreements shall be addressed constructively, with members striving to understand different perspectives and working toward mutually acceptable resolutions.
*6.2 Resolution Mechanism*
When issues cannot be resolved through direct conversation, the Association shall utilize the online voting mechanism on our portal as a democratic method of resolution.
*6.3 Escalation Protocol*
In situations beyond the Association's capacity, leadership may establish a committee or employ lawful assistance through state law enforcement agents as a last resort.

*ARTICLE 7: INTEGRITY AND HONESTY*
*7.1 Ethical Standards*
All members must uphold the highest standards of truthfulness, transparency, and ethical conduct in all dealings related to the Association.
*7.2 Zero Tolerance for Dishonesty*
Any dishonesty, misrepresentation, fraud, or actions that damage the reputation of Ikwuano Ambassadors or its members will not be tolerated and shall result in disciplinary action.

*ARTICLE 8: DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, AND NON-DISCRIMINATION*
*8.1 Respect for Diversity*
Members must respect differences in culture, religion, gender, opinions, age, and backgrounds. Our diversity is our strength.
*8.2 Prohibition of Discrimination*
Discrimination, harassment, or any form of insulting behavior, particularly toward elders and stakeholders, is strictly prohibited.
*8.3 Leadership Protection*
Leadership shall be protected from unwarranted attacks. Unity, fairness, and equal opportunity must be promoted at all times.

*ARTICLE 9: MEMBERSHIP AND FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS*
*9.1 Automatic Membership*
All persons of Ikwuano origin are automatically recognized as members of Ikwuano Ambassadors by virtue of their heritage.
*9.2 Active Membership*
To become a financially committed and active member with full benefits, individuals must demonstrate noticeable financial support through regular contributions.
*9.3 Voluntary and Mandatory Contributions*
The Association operates on a system of both free-will and compulsory donations as determined by leadership and agreed upon by members.

*ARTICLE 10: MEMBERSHIP PRIORITY AND MUTUAL CARE*
*10.1 Primary Commitment*
This Association is open to all Ikwuano persons who have the legitimate capacity to contribute and receive benefits on a dues basis.
*10.2 Geographic Priority*
Priority support is extended to:
- *First:* Members residing in Lagos and other established locations (100% mutual care commitment)
- *Second:* Ikwuano members residing outside Lagos State for social activities and meaningful projects
*10.3 Support Framework*
Members commit to supporting one another through social activities, emergency assistance, and collaborative business ventures, including online business models.

*ARTICLE 11: DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES*
*11.1 Confidential Conduct*
Leaders must handle all disciplinary matters with discretion, fairness, and transparency.
*11.2 Violations Subject to Discipline*
The following actions constitute violations:
- Insulting elders or stakeholders without remorse
- Repeated misconduct affecting the Board of Directors
- Breach of confidentiality
- Dishonesty or misrepresentation
- Discrimination or harassment
- Failure to respect leadership decisions
*11.3 Disciplinary Levels*
*First Caution (Yellow Card):*
A written or verbal warning issued for initial violations. The member will be counseled and given an opportunity to correct their behavior.
*Final Caution (Red Card):*
Immediate suspension or removal from membership without compensation for repeated or severe violations.

*ARTICLE 12:* ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS FOR DISCIPLINE*
*12.1 Reporting Mechanism*
An administrator cannot unilaterally remove any member but may issue cautions. All incidents must be formally reported to the Board of Directors with a copy to the President.
*12.2 Deliberation Timeline*
The Board of Directors shall deliberate within a maximum period of 48 hours from the time of reporting.
*12.3 Investigation Process*
*The Board shall:*
- Examine both the complainant and the accused
- Review all evidence and testimonies
- Issue a written decision with clear reasoning
*12.4 Right of Appeal*
If a member is unsatisfied with the Board's decision, they may escalate the matter to the Ikwuano Ambassadors/Abia Affinity Committee, whose judgment shall be final and binding.

*Every member of Ikwuano Ambassadors commits to:*

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
*Dynamic Governance:*

This Code of Conduct shall be dynamic and subject to modification at any time by a committee appointed by the leadership, without prior notification. All activities of the platform and official website shall be conducted as collaborative efforts by the relevant stakeholders in a professional manner. Oversight of such activities rests with the Board of Directors, whose decisions may override stakeholder actions. Execution of directives shall be carried out by the current selected, nominated or Coordinator of Ikwuano Ambassadors leadership through the President General or his absence, nominated representative or the most experienced notifiable cabinet members.
